Naka Naka: Train your brain and become a successful soccer player
This drill is called “Naka Naka”. It might sound weird, but the drill is great. Your players can improve their technical skills while simultaneously training their cognitive skills as well.
The concept is simple. The coach has a ball and throws it towards a player. When the coach shouts „header“ the player’s task is to catch the ball and throw it back to the coach. When he shouts „catch“, the player must head the ball back to him. You can also include numbers. „One“ then means catching and „two“ stands for a header. There’s no limit to your creativity, so you can try other stuff and terms as well. Now three (or more) players enter a competition. Whoever makes a mistake is out. The last player standing is the King of Naka-Naka.
